Funding has been made available statewide through the Governor’s Environmental Contingency Grant fund for private landowners who are in need of restoration activities to reduce soil erosion from the recent fires. Eligible projects within Lincoln County must be a minimum 10 acres that are in high danger of erosion and where restoring vegetation will protect water, soil, fish, wildlife and other renewable resources from imminent physical damage. Projects that may be funded include reclamation of fire lines, reseeding of vegetation, water bars, contour tree falling or other measures.
