The Lincoln Conservation District, Tobacco Valley Ranch and Barry Roose will be conducting a free public tour of the recently completed stream restoration projects on the Tobacco River and Mud Creek on Saturday, May 11th. We will meet at the Glacier Bank Community Room, 222 Dewey Avenue at 9:00 a.m. Due to limited parking, bus transportation will be provided. Reservations are required no later than May 8th. Please contact the District Office at 406-297-2233 to make your reservation.
Tree and shrub sales for 2018/19 have closed. We will begin accepting orders for 2019/20 in September 20. Orders will be delivered to the U.S. Forest Service Office in Eureka for pick-up in April 2020. If you would like to be added to the mailing list for order packets, please contact the District Administrator. Visit our Tree & Plant Sales Page for more info.
Inventory lists will be available from the Montana Conservation Seedling Nursery and Lincoln Oakes Nursery, Bismark, South Dakota. If you are purchasing for land reforestation or streambank restoration, we recommend purchasing from Montana Conservation Seedling Nursery (seed sources native to Montana). The Montana Conservation Seedling Nursery will require an approved Conservation Planting Plan through the Conservation District.
