Conservation Districts are political subdivisions of the state, governed by a Board of 7 locally elected Supervisors.  In addition, municipalities within the boundaries of a conservation district are entitled to representation on the Board by appointing two "Urban" Supervisors.  Conservation District Supervisors give their time and talents voluntarily.
